Austin MN Nurses Ratify New Agreements
RNs and LPNs working at Comforcare and St. Mark's care facilities started the New Year off by ratifying new agreements with their employers. Nurses at both locations received ratification bonuses in addition to annual wage increases and "step" increases. Additionally, Comforcare nurses negotiated a three year agreement that contained improved paid bereavement leave, overtime after 8 hours in a day (a change from OT after 40 in a week), new evening differential and increased pay for RNs who have a BSN degree. Nurses at both locations were happy with the settlement offers, and voted unanimously to accept. New contracts will be finalized shortly and be available to members at their worksites. Congratulations on your new Agreements!
