Capitol Clock Running Down on Public Works Bill

PAUL, Minn. -- State lawmakers don't appear to be anywhere close to a consensus on a public works construction bonding bill, as the clock runs down on the 2016 legislative session.  The Senate Democrats' $1.5 billion package failed to gain enough Republican votes to pass last week, and the House Republicans have yet to unveil their bonding bill with less than two weeks before time expires.  Some of the projects on the list are of statewide interest, such as building repairs and research labs at colleges and universities, while others are local projects that small towns can't afford to do without help from the State.  Read entire article here.
