Cornerstone Villa Says Goodbye to Longtime Steward, Welcomes Two New Ones

After seven years as a UFCW 1189 Steward, Joe Jones, of Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, is moving on to another career. During his tenure Joe was a charismatic advocate for his fellow workers. He instituted monthly meet and greets with the rep and there was never a person that didn’t know him or know that he was the one they could go to for help or just a friendly ear. He always made sure everyone was heard. Whether it was making sure that everyone had a survey before contract negotiations or making sure someone from every department had a chance to participate, Joe was there for all of his fellow members. When there were real problems, he used his ability to communicate in a no nonsense kind of way to reach a resolution. Please join me in saying thank you and good luck to Joe as he moves on to his next adventure in life.

Also, please join me in congratulating two new stewards Libby Mayer and Hunter Adamich. Both have decided to step up and be the new representatives of their fellow workers at Cornerstone Villa. Having worked and been a steward for Cornerstone Villa in the past, Libby is back in the fold and using her prior experience to once again represent her fellow workers. Hunter is a first time steward and will use her passion and professional attitude to make sure the voices of her fellow members are heard in the workplace.
