Highland Chateau LPN and SM Groups Reach Tentative Settlement on New Agreements

At the Negotiations on October 14, 2015 , UFCW Local 1189 reached a tentative agreement with Highland Chateau on both the LPN’s and Service and Maintenance contracts. Considering the fact Highland Chateau did not receive money from the State they still have some of the best wages among nursing homes.  I believe these negotiations were very successful. In the LPN contract members received the following: Time and a half holiday pay for holidays worked, No increase in the health insurance premium, No more two-tier wage system, 3 more step increases in the wage scale.  In the Service and Maintenance contract members received the following:No premium increase on the health insurance, Increase in the uniform allowance, $0.11 across the board wage increase effective of October 1, 2015, Bonuses for Full-time and Part-time employees to be paid January 2016Both contracts to be in effect for the next two years with wage reopeners on October 1. 2016.  The Employer's offer comes with full recomendation from the committees.PDF icon Highland Chateau LPNs.pdfPDF icon Highland Chateau SM.pdf
