Tentative Agreement Reached at St. Michael's

On December 3, 2015 at St. Michael’s the negotiating committee reached a tentative agreement with management.  The committee worked on and reached tentative agreements on several language changes and letters of understanding.  Some of the biggest changes came in wages with CNAs receiving on average an 18% wage increase and other staff receiving 5% wage increases effective January 1, 2016.  Health and Welfare was increased effective January 1, 2016 to $525 per month with the employees contributing $10 biweekly pretax.  This agreement will end December 31, 2017 with and wage and benefit reopener January 1, 2017.  This agreement comes with a full committee recommendation and will be voted on by the membership December 14, 2015 at the facility from 2:00PM to 3:00PM.
