Minnesota Medical Sulutions and the Union Negotiating Committee reached an agreement on an extension of the current collective bargaining agreement on Monday June 22, 2020. The employer proposed an extension of the current agreement with bonuses to all employees and an extra holiday. The bonus amounts provided by the employer are sufficient to cover the additional cost of health insurance for employees who are covered under the Union's healthcare Plan. The additional personal holiday is available for workers through the end of the year.

Your Union Contract is a legal document that contains provisions related to workers' rights and benefits. Your contract is the result of bargaining between the Union and the Employer beginning with the Union's initial proposal and followed by negotiations on items that affect your job. When a tentative agreement is reached (or when we receive the Employer's final offer) the Union will schedule a time for you to vote on the proposed changes to your contract. The Union and Employer met in November to work on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement for Minnesota's only Union Medical Cannabis company. The people that grow, process, package, and care for the patients at the retail care center locations are all members of UFCW Local 1189. The employer cancelled the scheduled December dates citing inablility to present a comprehensive economic offer and scheduling conflicts due to the holidays. Dates are set for January 7 and January 10, 2020. The Union is optimistic that an agreement can be reached.
