Sale of Vertical Endeavors

As assumption agreement has been reached with striVE Climbing & Fitness, LLC in the purchase of Vertical Endeavors with UFCW Locals 663 and 1189.   The assumption agreement with striVE protects represented employees during the transition to new ownership. 

 Under this agreement:

•  All bargaining-unit employees will be retained. 
• striVE will assume the current collective bargaining agreement and all of the Employer’s obligations under it. 
• Employees will retain their service and seniority dating back to their most recent date of hire. 
• Employment anniversary dates and vacation, holiday, and sick leave benefits and accruals will be honored. 
• striVE will maintain health insurance benefits that provide comparable coverage at a comparable employee cost. 
• striVE will continue to recognize UFCW Locals 663 and 1189 as the exclusive representatives of the bargaining unit.

In short, the ownership change will not reset your seniority, eliminate your accrued contractual benefits, or end your union contract.

The unions will meet promptly with striVE to discuss the implementation of health insurance coverage and any other issues related to the transition. We will continue to keep you informed as additional details become available.
