St. Luke's Negotiations Update: 6/5/24

At the start of the day, the Employer gave the Union a presentation on the state of their finances for the past three years and then the projected financial outlook for the next three years along with a comparison of health insurance benefits comparing non-contract to UFCW.  In terms of the financial situation, it is the same presentation members have heard during employee forums.

After the presentation, the Employer presented the Union with a “what if” proposal. The Union's negotiating committee did not want to work on what ifs so the Union again presented the same proposal as last time with a slight modification but no real changes to the dollar and cents of the proposal.  The Employer did not reciprocate and asked for an additional date to meet, which is currently being worked on with the mediator to schedule that meeting. 

If the Union does not see improvements in areas of importance, we are prepared to go to arbitration in order to fight to bring forth the best deal possible.
