Update on Lunds Bargaining March 5, 7, and 8

Body

The committee met with the employer on March 5, 7, and 8 for our first sessions of bargaining. In stark contrast with years past, we saw the employer make significant movement in these sessions. After some serious concerns with their initial proposal, the committee had productive conversation with the employer around the language that our survey identified as priorities. Both sides have demonstrated commitment to a fair bargaining process, and we believe that we are moving forward in a positive direction. All agreements are tentative until they are voted by the membership. See our complete list of tentative agreements so far here.

Of course, the biggest priorities remain wages and benefits. The committee is dedicated to holding out for the absolute best financial package to benefit all our members, and through the strength and solidarity of our members we know great things are possible. Our next session will be Tuesday, March 12, so stay tuned for updates very soon!
